Carl Clark is involved primarily in mechanical patent preparation and prosecution, infringement evaluations, counseling and litigation support, domestic and foreign trademarks, licensing, trade secret litigation and counseling . Prior to joining the firm in 1978, Mr. Clark was an associate for three years at a Missouri law firm, where he practiced in the areas of patent, trademark and licensing. Before becoming an attorney, he worked as an engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers and General Motors. He earned a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Wayne State University in 1975 and a BME from the University of Detroit in 1970. Admitted to the State bars of Missouri and Michigan, Mr. Clark also is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the Michigan Patent Lawyers Association, the Grand Rapids and American Bar Associations and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
