Frank Scutch has extensive experience in many areas of intellectual property, including licensing and technology agreements, litigation, patent and trademark preparation and prosecution, client counseling, portfolio management, development contract preparation and negotiation, infringement and validity studies and opinions, as well as outside counsel management. Mr. Scutch is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to the State Bars of Michigan and Florida. He is also admitted to practice before the Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Scutch earned a J.D. degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1992 where he received American Jurisprudence Awards and was a staff writer for the Michigan Bar Review. He also holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Wilkes University with a minor in physics. Mr. Scutch has served as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Senior Counsel at Motorola, Inc. and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Nova Southeastern University School of Law. His hobbies include playing golf, amateur radio and flying small aircraft.
