Matthew J. Gipson

Matt Gipson specializes in the procurement, licensing and enforcement of patents for chemical, bio-tech and mechanical inventions; patent, trademark and copyright litigation; and registration and enforcement of trademarks. Prior to joining the firm in 2000, Mr. Gipson was a summer intern in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan. He next practiced in Lansing, Michigan, where he was involved in commercial and intellectual property litigation. He has worked on trademark and patent infringement suits, including District Court and International Trade Commission litigation and trade secret misappropriation suits. Mr. Gipson earned a J.D. degree from the University of Notre Dame and a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to the bars of Michigan, Western District of Michigan, Eastern District of Michigan, Northern District of Indiana and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Gipson is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the American and Federal Bar Associations.
