M. Alyssa Barksdale



Alyssa Barksdale joined Price Heneveld as a Law Clerk after earning her Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2017. As a summer associate in 2016, Alyssa clerked at a construction law firm in Nashville, Tennessee. While clerking, Alyssa worked on legal research regarding easement and contractual disputes as well as electronic discovery. Alyssa also spent the summer of 2015 performing research on climate change for publication in a treatise on Alabama water law. During both her undergraduate and graduate careers at Mississippi State University, Alyssa served as a research assistant in the Construction Materials Research Center, where she performed lab specimen testing, data collection, and analysis in connection with research on various materials for construction projects.

Alyssa earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University. As a law student at the University of Alabama, she acted as Co-Chair of the Student Bar Association Election Committee for two years, and she served as a Moot Court Campbell Board Member, an Intellectual Property Moot Court Team Member, and Secretary of the IP Law Society.
