Jason Budd has been with Price Heneveld since 2005, with the exception of an interim period of several years as an independent business owner. Jason’s current practice is focused on the procurement of patents in the mechanical, chemical, biochemical, and material science arts. Further, Jason provides general intellectual property counseling to large foreign and domestic business concerns. His other core competencies include patentability opinions, freedom-to-operate opinions, invalidity opinions, and licensing agreements.
In addition to having vast patent procurement experience, Jason has years of general and intellectual property litigation experience. Prior to joining the law firm, Jason was a judicial law clerk, a research attorney for the State of Michigan Court of Appeals, and a general litigation attorney at a National Law Journal 500 law firm. After joining the law firm, Jason handled all aspects of litigation, including trial and appellate practice, in patent, trademark, and trade dress disputes.
