Thomas W. Lenters
ABOUT THOMAS
Thomas Lenters is an associate with the firm and is licensed to practice law in Michigan. He focuses his practice on patent preparation and prosecution, working closely with inventors and clients to develop effective filing and Office Action strategies. Thomas earned a bachelor’s in political science from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with a minor in biochemistry. During that time he gained technical and industry experience through chemical laboratory work and roles supporting the manufacture of medical equipment.
Thomas received his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2025. While in law school, he spent a summer in the Netherlands providing supervised intellectual property counseling to an electric bicycle manufacturer in support of its U.S. operations. He also served as a summer associate at an estate planning firm. Thomas joined Price Heneveld as a student extern in 2024 and later clerked with the firm before starting full-time in 2025.
Since joining the firm, Thomas has worked on patent application drafting and prosecution, Office Action response strategy, and opinion work related to patentability, freedom to operate, and patent validity. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Intellectual Property Law Section and Young Lawyers Section.
