ABOUT AUSTIN

Austin Kamer is an associate whose practice focuses on helping clients develop, protect, and leverage intellectual property assets across a wide range of technologies. Austin works with companies ranging from startups to multi-billion-dollar organizations, providing strategic guidance on patent portfolio development, trademark protection, and intellectual property licensing matters. Austin leverages his chemical engineering background to assist clients with identifying and protecting innovations in chemical, mechanical, and software-related technology areas.

Austin has experience preparing and prosecuting utility patent applications, managing trademark portfolios, and advising clients on intellectual property strategies aligned with broader business objectives. Austin regularly helps clients build patent portfolios designed to support long-term growth, competitive positioning, and commercialization efforts. Austin also has experience assisting companies in monetizing intellectual property assets through strategic licensing agreements and other contract-related matters.

Austin has supported due diligence efforts analyzing data privacy compliance. Austin has worked with legal professionals to understand and advocate for consumer privacy. Austin co-authored an article, “Data Privacy by Contract,” published in the Cardozo Law Review.

Through his work with startup companies, Austin has developed a strong appreciation for the role intellectual property plays in shaping business strategy.
